With a changing climate and watering restrictions here to stay, good garden design is more vital than ever.  WALDA designers are all trained in the principles of sustainability and using water wisely.  Some things to ask your garden designer are:

• Is the design functional, maintainable and sustainable?
• Does the garden improve the sustainability of the house?
• Is there enough shade and shelter from prevailing winds?
• Are the plants selected for their compatibility with local conditions?
• Are the plants grouped together for similar water needs? And will the irrigation system reflect this?
• Is the garden designed for minimal use of fertilisers and pesticides?
• Will the garden enhance the lives of the clients?
